This research reviews the global studies and experiences in quality of urban life and identifies different indicators drawn from different experiences from various space and time. Then, theses indicators are examined by a number of Tehran's managers and experts in urban management in terms of importance. It is in fact tried to review indicators and common categories of the sense of quality of urban life and present some local indicators and categories that suit the political and administrative conditions of the urban management system in Iran and in Tehran Metropolis. It is hoped that using the local indicators in the future, we could be able to monitor and measure the quality of life Iranian and Tehran citizens. In this study, among a total of 114 indicators and 16 major groups of these indicators, 93 indicators in 14 categories, (main indicators) were classified as local indicators for measuring and monitoring the level of quality of urban life of citizens in Tehran (Iran).
